2018 Great Lakes Chapter Board and Officers

Chapter President: Debra LaLonde, GM Retiree

The Chapter President shall communicate to all members such matters and make such suggestions to promote the welfare, increase and retain membership, and provide education opportunities for the members of the chapter. The Chapter President, with the approval of the Board of Directors, shall appoint committees, subcommittees, task forces and/or ad hoc committees, as are necessary and which are not in conflict with other provisions of the Bylaws. The Chapter President shall perform such other duties as are incidental to the office.

Chapter Past President: Lisa Patterson, GM

The Immediate Past President shall serve as Chapter Nominating Committee chairperson and will be responsible for recruiting a committee who will prepare a slate of officers to be presented to Chapter members for voting. This chairperson shall give notice to the Chapter members inviting them to suggest names of potential candidates prior to the Annual Meeting. Members shall have 21 days from the date of notification from the Nominating Committee chairperson to submit additional nominations.

Chapter Vice-President – Programs: Rich Martin, Hallmark

There shall be a Chapter Vice President – Programs who shall be responsible for such duties as are assigned by the Chapter President. The Chapter Vice President – Programs shall also be responsible for developing ideas for increasing active membership and developing and executing chapter successful chapter programs.

Co-Chair – Programs: Tim Ross, Genesys

Co-Chair – Programs shall be responsible for such duties as are assigned by the Chapter President and assist the Chapter Vice President – Programs.

Chapter Vice-President – Membership: Jason Smith, Alorica

There shall be a Chapter Vice President – Membership who shall be responsible for such duties as are assigned by the Chapter President. The Chapter Vice President – Membership shall be responsible for developing ideas for increasing membership and encourage active membership.

Chapter Secretary: Marilyn Suttle, Suttle Enterprises

There shall be a Chapter Secretary/Historian who shall be responsible for the proper recording of proceedings of meetings of the Chapter. The Chapter Secretary/Historian shall, in general, perform all duties incidental to the office of the Chapter Secretary/Historian. The Chapter Secretary/Historian shall also maintain all past history of the Chapter and represent the Chapter as the Historian. At the expiration of the Chapter Secretary/Historian’s term of office, all hard or soft copies of information and other property shall be delivered to the elected successor, or in the absence of a successor, such property shall be delivered to the Chapter President.

Chapter Treasurer: Rob Tamarelli, Aspect Software Retiree

There shall be a Chapter Treasurer who shall be responsible for the receipt of all members’ assessments by the Chapter, and establishing and following proper accounting procedures. The Chapter Treasurer shall, in general, perform all duties incidental to the office of the Chapter Treasurer. The Chapter Treasurer shall be aware of the SOCAP Chapter Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual and abide by the requirements stated therein. Each month the Chapter Treasurer shall upload financial information to the SOCAP server. At the expiration of Chapter Treasurer’s term of office, all books, money and other property shall be delivered to the elected successor, or in the absence of a successor, such property shall be delivered to the Chapter President.

Chapter Vice President Communications: Tim Aulph, North American Bancard

Each chapter may choose to have a Chapter Vice President of Communications is in charge of PR, Social Media, and/or Technology. This role may be parceled out to the other officers but optimal option is a separate position. This position or role shall be responsible for such duties as are assigned by the Chapter President. Chapter Vice President of Communication shall also be responsible for updating the Chapter website, LinkedIn group, Chapter Facebook page, Twitter page and/or any other Social Media or communication forum used by said Chapter. In addition, additional communication to members may be handled by this Chapter Vice President. At the expiration of this Chapter Vice President’s term of office, all log-ins and site management information and other property shall be delivered to the elected successor, or in the absence of a successor, such property shall be delivered to the Chapter President.

 

Directors: There may be appointed Directors in charge of specific areas, events or committees of a Chapter. A Director shall be responsible for such duties as are assigned by the Chapter President.
