2:00pm - 2:15pm  Welcome and Introductions 
2:15pm - 5:00pm  The Positive Lens and the Fundamental State of Leadership

(Pre-Read: Moments of Greatness: Entering the Fundamental State of Leadership by Quinn. HBR) Using the positive lens we will challenge conventional thinking and redefine the notion of leadership. We will explore the fundamental state of leadership and learn how to elevate ourselves in any situation. We will explore how to implement the notion throughout an organization.

Wednesday, April 13

7:30am - 8:30am  Continental Breakfast 
8:30am - 10:00am  How CEOs Discover Purpose and Transform Organizations

(Homework: The Positive Organization by Quinn - Chapters 2 and 3.) We will explore the learning experiences of two CEOs.  Groups will explore the implications for their own organizations. Participants need to have read chapter 2 and 3 previous to this session. 
10:15am - 12:00pm  Exercise: Purpose, Authentic Communication and the Positive Organization

(Homework: The Positive Organization by Quinn - Chapter 4). We will engage in an exercise that will transform us in real time. We will learn to communicate at a new level of authenticity. We will then explore the implications and possibilities for altering the discourse in any organization. Participants need to have read chapter 4 previous to this session. 
12:00pm - 1:00pm  Lunch 
1:00pm - 2:00pm  Tool: The Positive Leadership Game

We will play a simple game based on science. The game will open our minds to new possibilities. We will explore how to utilize the game at all levels of an organization.
2:15pm - 3:00pm  Tool: Creating A Personal Change Agenda
 

Drawing on a list of 100 positive practices from real organizations, we will create an abbreviated plan that we really care about. We will assist each other in making our agenda as effective as possible.



SOCAP's 2016 Executive Summit Cancellation Policy

Refunds for cancellations must be made in writing (via email to socap@socap.org) to the SOCAP National Office. A processing fee of $250 will be charged on refunds received on or before March 21, 2016. No cancellations or refunds after March 21, 2016. Substitutions will be gladly accepted at no charge until March 21, 2016. A $175 fee will be charged on any substitutions made after March 21, 2016. Registration transfers to future meetings will not be accepted.
