SOCAP International’s 2010 Symposium was a huge success! Nearly 300 attendees representing over 100 brands turned Atlanta, Georgia into the customer care capital of the world as they gathered to learn from industry experts, thought leaders and colleagues.
Check out some of the great conference feedback:
“The takeaway to you, the consumer, is that there’s a group of hard-working people on the other side of the phone line. They care that you have a good trip. They care that you’re happy. They care that you’ll come back again.” –Blog entry by Christopher Elliott, session speaker
“…A key theme I quickly saw during the SOCAP event was that the communication between marketing and customer care needs to get stronger across the board.” –Blog entry by Rohit Bhargava, session speaker
“The discussion was robust, as we covered a myriad topics from engagement guidelines and staff skills to organizing around social media and coordination between customer service, PR and Marketing.” –Blog entry by Barry Dalton, session speaker and Symposium attendee
“I was recently at a Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals (SOCAP) conference in Atlanta, GA, where the subject of social media monitoring for food related issues was a hot topic. Companies want to be able to identify food safety issues in real-time and social media monitoring is becoming a part of everyday processes of protecting the public and the brand..” –Blog entry by Brian Gianini, Symposium attendee
The discussions didn’t end in the meeting rooms either! Over 500 tweets on Twitter went out over the course of the Symposium, with attendees posting insights, experiences, photos, videos and more during the Symposium!
